Child Protection

The parish has a nominated Child Protection Representative, whose purpose is to ensure that the parish follows ‘safe practise’ guidelines. If you have any concerns, you may raise the matter with your parish priest or you can contact the parish representative: Pat Davies via the Parish Office on (01543) 676384 . Alternatively, the Child Protection Co-ordinator for the Archdiocese is Jane Jones, and she can be contacted, in complete confidence, on a 24 hourly basis, on 07976 516629.
Ecumenism
Activities include both praying together and social activities. There is a United Service one a month. Each member of BCU (Burntwood Churches United) takes it in turn to host a service and another member provides the readings and a preacher. On Good Friday BCU organises a Via Crucis (Way of the Cross) and Christians of different denominations walk through the town with a Cross following in the footsteps of Jesus. WCU
The Womens Christian Union meet every first Thursday of the month from 10.00am – 12.00 noon in the Parish Hall. Our aim is to support one another through faith and friendship. We also reach out to support others who are in need through different charities. We are a lively friendly group and would love to invite more ladies to come along and meet with us. Each month, we discuss various topics from the group’s interests, e.g. from looking at faith through art, or reading scripture, contemplation, prayer, to looking at world matters and incorporate them in our prayers, etc. All Christian women are welcome. Further details can be found on the newsletter.
