CHILDREN (Sacraments of Initiation)
Baptism preparation
Parents are asked to make an appointment to see the Parish Priest to discuss their desire to have their child baptised. One parent and one godparent must be a baptised and confirmed Catholic. Baptisms usually take place at 11.30am on Sundays after 10.00am Mass.
First Reconciliation (Confession) &
Holy Communion preparation
For those children who are not at a Catholic school, the requirements for receiving these sacraments are attendance at Sunday Mass and all of the preparation classes. Contact Fr. Linh Nguyen for details
Confirmation preparation
Confirmation preparation takes place in the primary school for Year 6 pupils. Those who are not at a Catholic school should contact the Parish Priest so that alternative arrangements can be made. Contact Fr. Linh Nguyen for details
ADULTS
Marriage Preparation
Couples intending to get married at St. Joseph's are asked to make an appointment to see the Parish Priest at least 6 months before the date they are planning to get married. The process of preparation will be discussed at the meeting with the Parish Priest.
Adult Catechesis (RCIA/Journey in Faith)
Adult education takes place on Wednesday evenings (Mass 7.00pm followed by session). The Programme is for those who wish to learn more about the Faith and for those who are looking to be received into full communion with the Church.
